Los Specials tomaron el ska jamaicano de los 50-60 y añadiendo grandes dosis de buen hacer y una pizca del punk rock que se daba por aquellos tiempos crearon junto a otras bandas el movimiento, estilo, como queráis llamarlo, denominado Two Tone, que también tendría su propio sello discográfico. Manteniendo vivo el espíritu skinhead, porque en el grupo tocaban blancos junto a negros, su música llega hasta nuestros días y no pierde validez en un mundo que parece que no cambia nunca.
